If my GERD symptoms are worse when I'm standing rather than sleeping... does it still help to raise my bed

It's better to raise the head of the bed or to use two pillows. Source(s): I'm a nurse.
Eat Zantac like candy, works for me!
Try some apple cider vinegar from a health food store, you should be able to ask them how much you should take. Make sure it is unfiltered raw organic, It helped me! No more problems. You shouldn't shut down the proton pump in your stomach, if you don't have any acid in your stomach how will your food get digested? why can't a doctor measure stomach acid? I trust the natural alternative remedies they are far more safer! and effective. You should eat early in the evening and wait at least 6 to8 hours after eating before going to bed that way your food has a chance to digest.Do not use any artifical sweeteners. You can also drink some Aloe juice it heals from the inside out and is very good for digestive problems.
self experience
I take prilosec everyday, for my gerd and it's a lifesaver. For me its worked quite well.
