How do you treat GERD? |
I have GERD i raised my bed, stopped smoking, stopped drinking caffiene, and stopped eating what i'm not aloud, and everyday I feel like I have a big icky thing in my throat which makes it hard to breath. How can I get rtid of that anyone know? You are doing all of the right things except for the fact that you need to control the acid in your stomach. Take 2 over the counter Zantac twice a day (morning and night). This will get rid of that feeling and allow your esophagus to heal from the acid burn. That is why you feel that feeling. Do this for about 2 weeks and then cut back to 1 tablet twice a day. I think this will help. If this does not help, see your MD for a consult and maybe a stronger med. I also take 150mg of ranitidine, twice a day, and that has helped me.. 15 years of it.. NEXIUM. the magical purple pill works wonders. i have a lot of complications - GERD, hiatal hernia, diverticulitis, acid reflux...the pill helps me feel SO much better. good luck! I have all those problems. I found out the pickles were making my throat fill icky after doing everything the doctor told me not to do. Some people find that drinking 2 tbs. of cider vinegar a day in water or no water helps neutrazlize the acid in your stomach.Also a small glass of prunce juice can be very helpful .Try these, you may be delightfully surprised . |
