Nutritionist for 8 month old with Gerd?

My son is being refered to a nutriionist by his gi doc, he has been really sick since birth, he eats 30 oz of formula a day, drinks lots of water, east up to 3 jars of baby food a day... not gaining weight, not throwiing up or anything like that.. whats going on?

I cannot tell you what is going on but I can relate a similar experience. My nephew experienced the same thing, and as he got older, he became more and more narrowed in the foods he would eat. My sister waited until after he turned 2 before seeing a nutritionist and has really struggled. He's 6 now, healthy and just broke the 35 lb barrier. You are probably making a good choice in handling this early on, she regrets delaying this. On the bright side, it certainly cannot hurt anything.
Nutrition is the key. Ask him if he knows about glyconutrients. What MIT says will change the world of healthcare. If he or she does'nt let me know
Sounds like he would benefit from liquid zantac. This could be used in the formula and acts to supress the acid in the gut.
