Can you get anxiety from gerd?

i have gord/gerd .....sudenly i have dizzyness.heartbun.some times not very hungry..chest pain...funnythrot...and short of breath.......I have 2 doctors and both have sent me for ecg/s and bloods and came back fine......i was taking pariet for 6 week..but now i am on somac for 4 days ........

It all sounds consistent with bad reflux disease. You need to be on a proton pump inhibitor (Nexium, Prilosec, Pravacid, Protonix, Aciphex) for a good month to see how you do. I don't know the two meds you mention. Are you outside the USA?
lose some weight. Eat slowly. get some exercise. sleep with your head elevated. Yes anxiety and gerd go hand in hand.
No...not really...GERD is Gastro Esphogeal Reflux Disease and a disorder of the esphogous (throat and "wind pipe") and anxiety is "mental" in nature caused by raised levels of the "flight or fight" levels in the brain...
You could be anxious because you have GERD (and therefore the symptoms are causing you to worry), but one does not cause the other...
If both Dr's have checked you out and can find no "physiological" reason for your symptoms, then you will need to speak with a competent therapist for help releaving your symptoms of anxiety...
