What friuts, veg etc should a person suffering with acid reflux or gerd, eat ????? name it? You don't need to worry about not eating fruit. High acidity foods are not tolerated well, but no fruit is the wrong way to look at it. No junk food is the way to look at it, in my opinion. Don't put stuff in your digestive tract that the body wasn't made to digest and your system works fine. Other than that, my advice is drink plenty of water with your meal, chew thoroughly every bite of food, and don't eat after a certain time each night, definitely not before bed. That's asking for reflux. Anything with low acidity should be ok. Avoid things like apples and oranges of course. Sometimes cooked are better then raw. Fruits and Veggies are not going to affect you, it is tomatos, sauces, and many herbs on one item of food you need to look out for. my brother has it I had this bad when I was pregnant, so I really had to stay away from most fruits. Too acidity. Bananas were ok. I think most veggies would be ok, except peppers!! Stay away from peppers, even mild green ones. You think they wouldn't do anything, but they do! Whan you have acid reflux you can eat any fruit. It is the greasy foods you need to look for. Don't worry. If you are not 11 years old and have it you are OK. acid reflex is a disease caused from any type of food any thing can trigger it i have it and i don't even have to eat much of anything at all spice Indian curry Green or Red hot Chili Peppers Pizza sauces and gravy's and tomatoes oranges this type of food triggers acid reflex! spicy food and acid fruits take a zantac 1 tablet a day before you eat this will control the symptoms of acid reflex this is sold at most pharmacy and drugs stores wal-marts |
