I have chronic bad breath,.....I have seen a dentist as well...but its niot cuz of teeth.....doc. presecibed me Pantidac-40 mg and Motilium....can u thro light in this......I am tensed..

have your doctor prescribe nexium for acid reflux.
( waking up at night with barf in your mouth )
the stomach is in the upper gastrointestinal tract.
don't eat beef or greasey food before going to bed.
clean the tarter from your tongue as much as you can
and keep with it.
( ask for the tongue loop cleaner at a pharmacy counter )
floss your teeth as often as you can by keeping a small
unit on you at all times.
use breath spray or mints. especailly in social situations.

i have the same problem as you.
this is what i do to stay on top of it.
you have to take a multi prong approach.

the key is having a regimen and sticking to it.
you'll feel better about yourself too.

good luck.
I just happened to look this up on the internet today for a friend.
GERD is another name for heartburn.
stomach and esophagus.
GERD is when your lower esophageal sphincter has problems staying closed (that is the muscle right before your stomach. When the sphincter doesn't close properly your stomach acids can come up into your esophagus and give you heart burn. That can (and does) damage your esophagus and makes the GERD worse. Take your meds and keep going to the doctor until you start to feel better.
Upper Gastrointestinal tract is simply the path traveled by food from your lips to the stomach.
The Lower Gi tract is your small and large intestine and your anus. GERD stands for gastro esophageal reflux disease. which is a pretty fancy name for chronic acid reflux or what we all think of as heartburn. Your stomach produces more than it's normal share of acid and it is refluxing or backflowing into your esophagus. I am unfamiliar with the medicines you have written but they sound close to what we prescribe Prevacid or Nexium 40 mgs being a medication that helps to close down the acid producers in your stomach. The motilium is probably a drug that will cause your bowel to digest your food a little faster.
