For the past 2 years I have been taking Zantac 150mg 2x a day. Of course It no longer helped with GERD.?


So, I recently switched to Prilosec OTC. I read on the package that you shouldn't take it for more than 14 days within a 3 month period. Can anybody tell me exactly why? Is it like the Zantac, and has the possibilty of making reflux worse? Thanks!

Go to your Dr and ask for Nexium. Most insurance companies will cover it. I have been taking Nexium for a year with no ill effects. If you visit their web site and register they will send you info and coupons.
