Do you suffer from GERD? |
I haven't been diagnosed but I have a chronic cough that is very like my sister -- and hers WAS diagnosed as GERD. I've cut out caffeine (except chocolate, that one's tough), and also dairy, citrus fruits and tomatoes. Does anyone else have a cough as a result of GERD and how are you treating it? Just diet changes or are you on OTC or Rx meds? Thanks! A cough that's a result of GERD may be improved by prescription medication such as Protonix. OTC medications such as Nexium or Prilosec may also do the trick. Diet changes are a great idea, as acid reflux can be caused when someone carries more weight. |
