Can someone tell me 3 pros and 3 cons for genetic testing?

Can someone tell me 3 pros and 3 cons for genetic testing?

Pros:

- Enables a person to find out whether they are likely to inherit a disease from their parents/family line. For example porphyria.
- Has led to a situation where forensic testing can be used to solve crimes. For example DNA comparisons and the like.
- Enables couples to find out the likelihood of conceiving a child with a genetic defect based upon the x and y chromosomes that the child will inherit.

Cons:

- Tests to discover whether an unborn baby may have a genetic disorder have a very small risk of causing death before birth. This is because the test requires a small sample of amniotic fluid from around the foetus.
- Tests can cost anywhere from 拢100-1000.
- The things that a test can show can be very limiting. Testers cannot say for example how severe the symtoms someone might get will be, or whether the disease will progress over time.

Hope this helps.

[EDIT] 'death before birth' sorry not 'death before pregnancy'.
