Hypothetical...a family member dies of a genetic disease, would u get yourself tested?

would you be happier with the unknown or want to know that you had the same gentic condition?

I would. I'd prefer knowing for certain instead of living in fear and "what if"s. I take into consideration not only myself, but also my loved ones and my children.
I would want to know, so I could plan my life around it. No matter how bad the news, I would get used to the idea after some time, and after that adjustment phase is over, I would be happier than if I were to live in uncertainty all my life.
depends on the disease. many have only a 25% chance of being inherited so those aren't terrible odds
I would absolutely, as I am female, and don't want to pass it to my children.
Yes, absolutely!
get tested and find out how much more time you have so you can appreciate that time you have here.
No because I saw this thing on Ripley's believe or not when four family members were driving a car and they got hit by some sort of chemical truck. Each of them were hit by it. The girl that was the youngest got hit by a terrible thing. Whenever she cried, acid came out of her eyes. So, whenever she was touched by water, wherever she was touched would burn. It was then proved to be a gentical thing. However, the other family members had nothing wrong with them.
