Why me! I have a question about possible genital warts or herpes? |
I've been married 4 years. Before I met my husband I didn't always use protection with previous men. My ex boyfriend did have warts on his hands, then I got a wart on my hand. I did get it freezed off and no more came back. My question is I noticed I have a bump down there. I went to two, different doctors they both told me it was a ingrown hair and I don't need any blood work taken. My question is I FEEL LIKE IT IS HERPES OR GENITAL WARTS, this is the first time I've even seen this one bump near my vagina lip EVER? What do I do? I've had this bump for almost 2 weeks now. I don't think I will tell this to ANY I KNOW besides my HUSBAND! If you shave alot...it is probably just ingrown hairs. It could be herpes, genital warts, or Molluscum Contagiosum. Ease your worry go to a clinic and get checked out..Also have a HPV test besides your pap test. Do not have sex until you have your results...If you do, foreplay by him touching your private parts can pass it on to him..condoms are not 100% safe either....Educate yourself as much as you can Just go to a clinic like Planned Parenthood and specifically ASK for a full STD screening. Chances are the docs are right, but its always good peace of mind any way. You have to ask for these things sometimes though, regardless of what they "think". The doctors are right. Do you have some reason to doubt BOTH of these doctors? Doctors are very good at telling the difference between an ingrown hair and Herpes and Genital Warts. If they said it's an ingrown hair then that's what it is! The hair is probably just ingrown really bad, you may need to lance the bump and try to pull the hair out. Badly ingrown hairs can last quite a while if the hair keeps growing under the skin. Hand warts are completely different from genital warts......People don't get Genital Herpes on their knees right? The virus that gives people Genital warts and the virus that causes hand warts are two different viruses, thus you can't get hand warts on the genitals and vice versa. Seriously,......if your doctors said it was an ingrown hair then trust them..... Gross and you tell this to people you dont know? |
