Would you date someone who had an std like herpes or hpv(genital warts)?

I mean if he/she was honest about them would you still have sex with them? What about oral?
I ask this because I was having a conversation with a friend and he didnt have a problem with it, he said there were worst things in life. Even thought I somehow agree on that I still find it a little disturbing for someone to get infected pursposely with something that you will live with for the rest of your life.
I know some people might not show outbreaks, warts or rashes but its still in you for ever.

honestlt if i know that my boyfriend have herps i would never sleep with him again and maybe i will leave him the reason for me leaving him is because he is not being faithful and also he is putting my health at risk thats why i always says check yourself befor you reck yourself

Depends on how much you care about the person, sometimes and STD doesn't matter when you are madly in love with the person. And you can be very careful not to get it by using protection during intercourse, dental dams during oral, and not having any kind of sexual relations during an outbreak. There's also medicines people can take to prevent outbreaks. And HPV is not genital warts. It's the Human Papillomavirus. It's a leading cause of cervical cancer and it is treatable.

I have genital herpes, and contrary to a previous answerer, I am not a slut. My first boyfriend caught cold sores as a kid, and even though he never gave me oral sex when he had a codl sore, one day when he gave me oral sex he gave me genital herpes. All from that oral herpes infection he got when his aunt gave him an affectionate kiss when he was 5. Happens all the time - over half of genital herpes infections are caught from a partner's oral herpes.

I have never found that men reject me because of the herpes - most understand it is exactly the same as a cold sore, just in a different location, and they aren't bothered. I wouldn't reject someone if they had something other than what I have - I could still catch warts or hsv-2 - it is the person that counts most.
