Waiting on teat results for genital herpes?

hi i went into hospital 4 weeks ago for a cyst downstairs any way i got out on the tuesday by saterday i thought i had thrush so i got the medicin to fix it but it did not work and been to the doctor once she gave me anti biod and said infection but now 4 weeks later still there and sore it looks like little wite blisters went to the doc yesterday and she did a test i get results tomroow
anyway i have had the same partner for 4 years and i have not been with any one else could it have come from an tool used in surgery he swares that he has not cheeted and that the only outher way i could have gotten it either hospital or him someone please help me im confused

Even though the oral cold sore virus and genital herpes virus are different viruses, they're still able to infect you in both places. So you can still get be infected by oral cold sores genitally, and vice versa.

If he's *ever* had cold sores and has ever given you oral sex, you could've caught it that way. (It's a bit more complicated - you can't catch either version if you already have it in the other place, so for this to happen, he would have to have herpes in the mouth and you *not* have it anywhere.)

It is *extremely* unlikely you would have caught something from surgical tools or the hospital. Not impossible but very very unlikely.

The statistics on cheating say 75% of monogamous people cheat at some point in their lives. That's a lot higher than your chance from getting it from hospital.

But like I said if he's ever had cold sores, I think that's your answer right there. Herpes is tricky, it doesn't even have to show to be infectious, so even if he didn't have cold sores at the time, he could still have given it to you by oral sex.

If you've been with other people you could also have caught it before and never had an outbreak until now. Of course *he* could have asymptomatic (invisible, no signs) genital herpes and given it to you.

There is no possible way you could have gotten it from the hospital. The herpes virus can't live on anything but the skin of the lips and genitals. The virus can't survive on a metal instrument. You can only get herpes from kissing or sex. However.......you can have herpes for a long time without having any symptoms, some people have herpes and never have symptoms....... Your surgery could have triggered an outbreak, but you could have had the virus already for many years.......it's also possible that your partner had herpes and didn't know it and passed it to you......or that unfortunately he could have cheated........

So they tested your teat? Haven't heard of that technique...

not to scare u or anything but it sounds like u might have gential herpes (hpv) and u could not of gotten it from a tool at the hosptial the only way u can get hpv is from sexual content change of body fluids no not from a cut or anything like that but from sex i hope that ur results come back clean but if it was caught early enough they can give u a pill to help the outbreaks and i know when i had mine i had 3 different things done (froze, burned, and cut off) i hope u dont have to go through any of that and have him tested to and maybe even a lie detecter test well best of luck to u and ur in my prayers
