Can you get genital herpes by making out?

I meant making out lip to lip...hahah that sounds weird

Herpes is spread by skin-to-skin contact. So you are only going to get herpes by rubbing your skin against infected skin.

Many people (50% to 80%) have oral herpes, and you can certainly catch oral herpes on your mouth by "making out" (which I think just means kissing and snuggling together). You can also catch oral herpes on your genitals through oral sex.

But since herpes is NOT spread through fluids, you can not catch genital herpes by kissing someone else's mouth.

No, genital herpes/warts is exactly what it says. So unless you go down under for the thunder you won't get it. If you just makeout you should be fine.

Genital herpes? No. Just hepatitis, mono, HIV, stuff like that.

GENITAL, means on your genitals. So unless you made out w\ his GENITALS, then maybe. But if you just made out lip to lip you're good.
