Im 20 yrs. old. Recently went to my gyno and she said I have genital herpes.?

She gave me acyclovir to take and a pamphlet to read. I had a blood test and a swab and was told to revisit in a week for the results. I have been with two guys ever in my life and with both of them, we have had oral sex. I have never had intercourse before. the 1st guy, I was with for two years and had never shown syptoms of hsv. The second guy I have been with for almost two months. We have known eachother forever and I am almost sure he doesn't have it, but I know you can't ever be "sure". After reading about hsv online I learned that you usually have irritation, lesions, its very sore, and the lesions break open, there is puss and then they heal with scabs. I know what I had experienced was not this. It was just a few bumps on and around the clitoris, red around the area and yes it hurt sometimes sharp pain but there were NO SCABS. I took the acyclovir and in four days it was gone. I feel nothing and it looks as if I never had any of this. Now I am not sure if I have herpes?

You can get herpes from oral sex. Depending on the strain of the virus will decide how bad your outbreaks will be. HSV1 is oral herpes HSV2 is genital. You can catch either one either place, But HSV1 likes the mouth so when its on the genitals its milder, fewer outbreaks. They mistake symptoms for bug bites or bladder infections. So you friend may have it and dont even know. And if it was oral herpes he has he may not even realize that its herpes(cold sores).
