What's the chance of me passing genital herpes to my partner while I'm taking Valtrex?!? |
I've been taking Valtrex for about 6 months and I can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for. I've seen the commercials for Valtrex and been to Valtrex.com as well. But it always says that taking Valtrex will lower your risk of passing it on to someone else. Are we talking like a 20% chance of me passing it on or more like a 50% chance? Chance of passing it on, without valtrex or protection, but avoiding outbreaks: 10% a year max. There is always a chance of passing it on even on Valtrex. My ex-hubby gave me this wonderful gift that keeps on giving (though I have not had an outbreak in over 10 years) and I understand the spot you're in. Please please please be careful. I just found out yesterday that I contracted herpes from someone taking Valtrex. So yes you can still pass it along I'm proof of that. as commercial states:u may always transmit herpes to your parter even w/out an outbreak!!!so,protection is going to be ur best option!! |
