Someone being treated with acyclovir for herpes of the mouth, do they have genital herpes?

and too can this woman who gave me oral give me genital herpes?

her mouth sores were very painful and there were loads of blisters in her mouth and she only told me that i could not catch it but my reading says different....she gave me oral before i found out all this and her pills and cream both acyclovir were left in plain sight as if for me to find out on my own......i am worried now that she has infected me.....we broke up over another matter so we are not talking right now....should i get to a doctor.........or lawyer?

just because they have oral herpes doesn't mean that they automatically have genital herpes. they could just have the oral type.
the oral type is more contagious when there is an outbreak then when there isn't one. they can be passed onto the genitals durring oral sex (i got herpes this way so its possible). there is still a SMALL chance of passing on oral herpes even in between out breaks, and reduced even further if she is taking suppessive medication like acyclovir which helps to prevent the out breaks and transmission of herpes.

best thing to do would be to get tested for oral herpes to find out if u have them.

I take acyclovir for my cold sores, and I do not have genital herpes. I don't know if she would have genital herpes or not, you would need to talk to her about it. And yes she could possibly give you genital herpes if you had oral sex with her while she had cold sores.
