How can you tell the difference between a yeast infection and genital herpes?

Because I might have either one.

About 3-4 weeks ago, it started off by being a small red area of itchyness beside my vagina. Then it just spread over the weeks and it is very raw and ichty, and it burns sometimes. It looks kinda blistered from scrathing, I THINK, and it blead a little this morning from being so raw.
Help please. And I will go ahead and say there is a possibility of it being either one, so how do I tell the difference?

herpes are like warts or blisters I believe. Yeast infection is itchy and smells funky, but there aren't any blisters involved. Go to www.webmd.com and check you symptoms.

A yeast infection would be inside your vagina and usually produces a "cottage cheese" discharge. There is generally a dinstinct smell associated with it as well. Sorry to be so graphic.

If this is on the outside, it sounds like something else. I'd get it checked out asap.

Try l-lysine and and 3gram vitamin C anrub coconut oil in the vagina
if it is herpies............if it is yeast take Black Walnut oil ...put a couple
of drops in water and drink than combo every day.

Herpes and Yeast Infections have different symptoms!

it's not herpes, I'll tell you now, but go see a doctor and have them check it out. better safe than sorry when dealing with anything down there. For sure.

Well, I've had yeast infections and never had any signs of it on the outside. That sounds bad.
