Genital warts and herpes?

I know a guy that has genital warts & herpes, hip-C and who knows what else. When he sleep with someone he doesn't tell them that he has anything. What can be done to stop this man. Its not right what he is doing. When i say something to him, he says he is clean. I know he has all these things, becouse i was at his doctor appointment with him when his doctor told him. A friend of mine said that it is iilegal for him not to tell a person that he sleeps with, that he has this things. That you can sue someone for giving you these things. IS THAT TRUE, does anyone know? Please let me know if anyone know anyhing about anything like this

I'm sure someone could bring a CIVIL suit against him if he infected them...but that's just $$$ collected - and would be hard to prove that he KNEW

The only STD out there - that is illegal to NOT disclose is HIV

I agree with you though! I have never had sex with anyone without disclosing what I have and educating them if they ask questions about it...and I pity the UNeducated people who are afraid to date me (wow - are they missing out!) but I've only met ONE man that has rejected me because I have STDs.

What is genital herpes?

Genital herpes is an infection of the genitals (penis in men, vulva and vagina in women) and surrounding area of skin. It is caused by the herpes simplex virus. The buttocks and anus may also be affected. There are two types of herpes simplex virus:

Type 1 herpes simplex virus is the usual cause of cold sores around the mouth. It also causes up to half of cases of genital herpes.
Type 2 herpes simplex virus usually only causes genital herpes. It can sometimes cause cold sores.

How do herpes simplex infections occur?

The herpes simplex virus is passed on by skin-to-skin contact. The virus can pass through the moist skin that lines the mouth, genitals, anus (and sometimes the eye). The skin of the rest of the body is less susceptible to herpes infection. Therefore, herpes simplex infection of other parts of the body is rare if the skin is not damaged or cut.

IT MORE TO READ. YOU DON' NEED NO ONE WHO GOING TO SLEEP AROUND. YOU NEED TO GO TO A DOCTOR PLEASE.

yes, if you can prove the person lied to you and knowingly gave you a STD, you can file a lawsuit against them in small claims court. Sometimes its hard to prove though who gave it to you because it can lay dormant in someones body for years and that person may not even know they have it. 1 out of 5 ppl have genital herpes.

well - truth be told ....nada.

The poor unknowing girl can NOT prove that she got these from him. All 3 can stay dormant in your system for years.

Hes a real bastard for not telling - talk to him. find out why...tell him your thoughts.

thats about it.

if he had HIV - thats would be a different story.

You should tell someone who is close to him or try and tell him you know, and what he is doing isn't right. He can pass the disease on, which he probably has, or even WORSE-KILL SOMEONE. With the multiple diseases he has, he can seriously harm, someone. You would be doing nothing BUT the right thing if you were to tell him about himself, or to tell his partners. You maybe should sit and talk to him about it. That isn't right, and is very VERY illegal. He highly disgusts me..His partner could be anyone who thinks he is a faitful, loving caring "honest" person, and he could be doing this to them. Just think of the people he's having sex with, and whomever THEY'RE having sex with. It's not only affecting who ever he passed it to, but MANY others who might pass it on to others, not even knowing they had it. Seriously, he MUST be stopped!!

This is exactly the kind of situation that you see in ethics classes. And I'll admit its a tricky one.

You know that what he is doing is wrong.
You know that sharing medical secrets about people without their permission is wrong.
You know that this really doesn't have anything to do with you.
You don't want to see anyone get hurt.

What do you do?

What he is doing is not illegal. Someone could sue him (since you can sue pretty much anyone for pretty much anything) - but they would probably lose. Unless someone caught something that was life-threatening, and could prove that they got it from him, and then died, or needed a liver transplant, there really isn't a strong legal case here.

My feeling is that, as difficult as it is, you should do nothing. These women choose to take a risk by sleeping with him. It's their risk to take. And even if you wouldn't take the same risk, they clearly would. The hard truth is that this doesn't involve you. This is between him and them.

Good luck.

By the way, how is it that you were with him at the doctor's office, and heard that he had these incurable diseases, and he knows that you were there and heard about it, and yet he denies it? Is he mentally ill, or is there another part of this story, or what? It's very confusing.

Ok...well I am going to throw a different view on to the fire....Cause I am a big beliver in this. Everyone should ask their partner to have a blood test done. That way both people know. If these woman that is he sleeping with...take his word at face value...than I hate to say it...but it is their fault too. He is soooo wrong for not telling them. That is true, but they should care enough about their well being to make sure they know for a fact. Look at how many of us google public court records to see if we are dating a criminal. Why shouldn't we ask for medical history. I have HSV. I have had it for over a decade. I have gotten blood test done and ask any new partner to get tested. For me...I don't want anything more than what I already have and I want them to know what I bring to the table. There is so much out there that it is just foolish not to ask for blood work.
