Genital herpes 4 months later?

omg.. im scared.. so i was raped a few months ago..was tested negative for stds/hiv even genital herpes..but positive for hsv 1 cold sores.. which i used to have a long time ago!

but im having another worry.. im scared i might have contracted genital herpes from the rape.. it started off as a yeast infection due to the meds i was taking for a minor surgery of a skin infection.

then it was from yeast infection to some bumps under the skin..i recalled FEELING 3.. i dont see anything.. i just felt itching.. well the bump under the skin went away, but i see 1 paper cut at the very top of the labia.. so i dont feel any burning when i pee bc i dont have any down there/no sores/no lesions, i just see a paper cut that was bleeding on top of labia.. i did shave and the hair is itchy when it grows back..but a paper cut?? wut the !

The problem with detecting genital herpes is that it can take up to 3 months to show positive in your bloodwork. You could have contracted herpes from the rape and depending on when you got your bloodwork done it may not have had time to show up. A paper cut looking place can be a sign of herpes. Also, herpes can lay dormant for a while before you have an outbreak. You should go to the dr again and let them see the places and let them do a swab and another blood test. I am SO sorry about the rape. I hope you knew who it was so you can press charges on them, especially if he gave you herpes. Thats horrible!!!!

i blood test cannot not tell if you have genital or oral herpes. both type 1 and type 2 can be genital or oral. I've had a yeast infection before so bad that i had a "paper cut" before like your talking about. yes it hurts and bleeds a little. All these are symptoms of a yeast infection. However theyre simliar to herpes to. i have genital type 1, ive had 1 break out. i itched like crazy and them bumps went away in less that a week

Get blood test done for antibodies.

go back and get tested. it might even be from shaving
