Does genital herpes get worse in time or does it pretty much stay in the same spot and same size area?

Does genital herpes get worse in time or does it pretty much stay in the same spot and same size area?

Yes, it will usually diminish with time, generally will stay in the same active spot.

After the first outbreak, a trigger you might not even know about can create conditions where the virus can more easily travel around your body - you are susceptible to an outbreak at this time. The virus remembers where it has created cold sores before, it's as if the trail is marked and therefore is the path of least resistance. This is why it is important to get diagnosed an on medication asap if you are having a primary outbreak - to minimize the number of sore locations that are initially created..

The first breakout is usually the worst because your body is taken by surprise, so to speak. The virus can more easily cause an outbreak during the first year - maybe because most people are extra stressed about having caught the virus? or maybe it is that it takes that long for each of us to learn what regime of a natural or prescriptive remedy works the best for us, both preventive and when you have one.

I think part of the reason for the outbreaks not getting worse over time is that one has good motivation to learn how to help the body fight the virus and help it to prevent an actual outbreak. Some things are very simple, like adequate water intake, good nutrition/dietary choices regarding lysine & arginine content, not getting a sunburn, minimize feeling stressed out.

Every break out is worse for me, but the sores are always in the same place. I haven't had it that long though. I think the first year is the worst. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm new to this whole thing...talking about it.

the first outbreak is usually the worst. everyone is different. typically the longer you have it the less frequent the outbreaks and the less severe they are.

NO! it will get worse when untreated. And i will spread over time,so wash everything you've touched after dealing with it.
