Can my doctor diagnose Genital Warts or Herpes?

I went for a smer test this morning, im a very paranoid person....will my doctor have noticed if i had any signs of warts or herpes...She did say she could not see any signs but should i go to a GUM Clinic just in case or just trust the Doctor?
Please help?

It was a female doctor who saw me and she did an external check, it was a quick check though but she said she saw no signs

Yes you doctor can diagnose you with them if he sees the wart and open score on or around your genitals.

They test by putting a chemical on a wart if it turns white it鈥檚 a wart if there鈥檚 no reaction then you鈥檙e in the clear. However those tests are often wrong and can lead to misjudgment.

Testing for HPV and Herpes is extremely hard to however it can be done.

I truely hope this helps you.

Signed,
You're Good Friend.

Suggest a blood test if you suspect you have an STD. Not only should you be aware of this (even if you have no breakout at the time) this information will be beneficial to you and you partner or future partner. Keeping such information to yourself is a very selfish thing to do if you are involved sexually with another person.

If she wasn't an obgyn and suggested you go somewhere else to make sure then yes you should go elsewhere AS she suggested.
In the future, if you're so , insist on PROTECTION at least and question your partners sexual habits and/or keep your damn legs together if you're not 100% sure you're not going to catch something from them! Common sense girl/dude, sex kills these days!

no your regular dr. should be able to tell. But if you want you can go to your female dr.

if the doctor checked it out it should be fine
however if you feel better go to another one

blood test can be done for herps but not for hpv
