If i get cold sores and my partner gives me oral can she get herpes even though i don't have genital herpes?

You have herpes simplex virus-1(cold sores). Your gf won't get herpes by giving you oral but she can get herpes simplex virus-1 by kissing you etc when you have a cold sore....She can contract herpes simplex virus-2 (genital herpes) if you gave her oral when you have a breakout particularly if she had any open sores/cuts down there at the time.

No she cannot get herpes if she gives you oral. However she can get genital herpes if you give her oral.

Coldsores are herpes type 1, and if you perform oral on her than it can be transmitted to her genitals and give her genital herpes type 1, not type 2!!!

Type two is different than type 1, and type 1 can not turn into type two, and type two cannot turn into type 1.

Just because you have herpes on your genitals does not automatically make it turn into type 2. This is a common misconception that alot of people assume.

And also having type 1 does not give yourself immunity to having type 2. and vica versa

If you do give her type 1 through oral sex on her genitals then you do not have to be worried about getting it on your genitals, because you already have antibodies to the virus since you already have coldsores.
