Genital herpes 1 sufferers, please tell me how you cope? |
please dont reply if you have herpes 2, or oral herpes. Thanks. Sorry sweetie, but those are the 2 forms of herpes. Oral herpes is herpes simplex 1 (HSV1)and genital herpes(GH) is herpes simplex 2(HSV2). Although, you can have HSV2 orally or HSV1 genitally. Pretty much the same virus either way. I was recently diagnosed with genital HSV1. I had no idea that oral herpes could be spread to the genitals. I learned the hard way. It's not really as big of a deal as it seems... not that I wouldn't rather be herpes free. There's just a lot worse things can can and probably will happen in life. think of it this way, you got it ,you can't get rid of it, so you will have to live with for the rest of your life. it's not the end of the world. The majority of people walking around have some form of herpes, especially in the mouth, (anyone you have ever seen with a bump on the lip or around the mouth, and think it is just a cold sore when in fact it is herpes), and they don't know. my doctor told me most yearly paps and check-ups, don't include a herpes test. You have to specify that you want to be tested for everything. So use this as a learning experience, and make sure you "know" who and what you are getting ready to lay down with. Just remember it could be alot worse, and the next time it could be. BE SAFE!!!!!!! |
