Is genital herpes cureable?

Is genital herpes cureable?

Nope. The most common problem that I have seen with genital herpes is that when a woman has it and gives birth, if she has any evidence of an outbreak of it at time of delivery, doctors usually do a Csection to prevent the baby from getting it. This is because occasionally (probably not too common) a baby will acquire it at birth and less often still have a serious problem. I wouldn't want my wife having to face C sections like that. It is a very traumatic way to have a baby and it tends to limit how many she will have. Of course she could refuse the Csections and elect to see what happens. She may well luck out and not have any serious herpes infections in her babies. They aren't likely to get it, if she doesn't have an outbreak when they come out. Source(s): I am ER doc.
Unfortunately no. The symptoms can be controlled (to a degree) with medication
Genital herpes is caused by a virus, and there is no cure.
No only controlable. Most outbreaks are associated with stress so find a laid back girlfriend or else.
If caught right away, maybe, but sorry NO!
