Ok so if genital herpes and oral herpes are the same.....?


can you have an outbreak in both places? if you have an outbreak on your mouth and give your partner oral sex can you give them genital herpes from your oral herpes?

Herpes simplex 1 is more likely to be found around the mouth as a cold sore, but can also be found in the genital area (the ratio is something like 60% chance mouth, 40% chance genitals), and herpes simplex 2 is the reverse.
