Is Genital Herpes considered a plague?

Is Genital Herpes considered a plague?

No. Plagues are an emergence of a disease new to the population and the agent infects humans, causing serious illness.

Genital herpes has been around for a LONG time. It's nothing new. And, it also doesn't cause serious health issues. You can't die from it, it won't cause you to become sterile, it doesn't cause cancer. The sores are painful don't get me wrong, but it doesn't cause "serious" illness. Source(s): Personal experience. I have had genital herpes for over 5 years.
Only if you put it on a plate and serve it with cole slaw
I don't think so, because plagues are usually air born.
Maybe in your circle of friends, not mine however it is thought that herpes is considered wrong thinking and herpes is just a symptom of that wrong thinking. Read the book (can be loaned through the local library 'You Can Heal Your Life' by Louise Hayes.
No...a STD, plain and simple.
Well, its gonna be with you for life, so for me, it would be a plague.
