Can genital herpes be passed at birth?

I'm not talking about neonatal herpes, but can a baby contract genital herpes from a mother who has genital herpes? Is this possible?

yes the baby could end up with a herpes infection. some times doctors opt to do a Cesarean so the baby wont be infected
Yes the newborn baby can get this from the mother.
No, but if the mother is infected and gives normal birth, the baby may have it all over its body.
Yes, the baby will get the genital herpes through passing the birth canal, that is why most of the physicians prefer to do Cesarean for the women with genital herpes.
