I have Genital Herpes, my life is over, I cant even date anymore, I feel dirty and out of this wolrd,?

I am 24 and i was diagnosesd with G.H. I dont feel attractive anymore, I am always scare that i will meet someone get attach and wanting to be with him. I dont know how I got it, i just know that I be single for the rest of my life :( I am scare to give it to someone that I am attractive to, that i will luv him, but that I will have to confess such an emberresing thing. what should i do? when i get a breaout!! i wanna die, i wanna dissapear, is so painful, so not hot, so not cool, so traumatic. I hate my life :(

This does not mean life is over. In life situations occure and there is always a reason behind it. Just accept this as part of your life, but this does not mean you should hate yourself for it. You should also realize that not everyone in this world is not open minded or understanding about people like yourself, but that does not mean that there are people that understand what you are going through. However , you shouldn't consider shutting yourself from connecting with others because of what you have because how are you ever going to find that someone who will love you and understand what you have. What you should do is talk to a doctor about your concerns and what are treatments that can help reduce the out break. The most common treatments for genital herpes are Acyclovir (Zovirax) , Famciclovir (Famvir) and
Valacyclovir (Valtrex) , but I recommend the proper counseling as well as treatment by a doctor at the same time to cope with this.

your current reaction is understandable, it WILL pass. There are alot of others out there in your same predicament. So once you have passed the "woe is me" stage, find someone with the same problem. The medications available now work very well in controlling symptoms and limiting outbreaks, and you can lead a perfectly normal life with the right precautions, you might try helping others by blogging about what has happened to you, encourage safe sex practices etc.

You can date. There are medications that can help with breakouts. As far as meeting someone and possibly falling in love...if they love you...they will be understanding. My husband and I both have it and we luv each other very much.
Oh get over it. There are plenty of other things to make your life feel like it's over!

There are pills now for GH, and people can wear condoms and get it.. your life isn't over!!
