1st outbreak genital herpes...Is my husband cheating?

I just recently learned that I have genital herpes and trichomoniasisis. I am alsocurrently 7 1/2 weeks pregnant. My husband and I have been married just short of a year. I have been completely monogomous with my husband since our brief courtship which started just a little over a year ago. I was very promisquous prior to meeting my husband. However, I never had any sort of STD or anything of the such, not even crabs and to my knowledge nor has he. I have now had my first outbreak with genital herpes for about 2 wks. I had never suspected my husband of cheating 3 wks ago until an incident that occurred involving his 8 year old son wanting to be dropped off where daddy was supposed to be so I called him to find out for sure that he was still there and to let him know I was bringing his son to him and he threw a major attitude and accused me of "checking up" on him. That sounded like a guilty conscience. He works out of town over night sometimes so he would have opportunities.

First of all I am sorry that you are going thru this. I also have herpes. My bf of 7yrs cheated on me on our 2nd yr. I know exactly the day he cheated because it was the day we got in a huge fight and he ended up confessing that it was on that day that he slept with someone( he confessed this 5 months later). A week later we got back together and I slept with him without knowning he had slept with someone else. EXACTLY 10 days later I had my FIRST outbreak. As per my understanding thats how long it takes for someone to have an outbreak. If you've been 100% faithful then I am sorry he must have been fooling around. I have never been comfortable with man leaving out of town for work. To me its always a great opportunity for them to cheat and us never find out UNLESS you contract a disease and why even wait for that? All I can tell you is to see a dr get the facts. The baby will be just fine. Take this time and dedicate to you and the baby and let him figure something out. I dont understand why man think with the wrong head. My dad also cheated on my mom while she was pregnant and gave her HPV. Take it easy and get ready for the arrival of the new baby that is going to bring you lots of joy. i usually stay out of any situation like that but to me that sounds like he has been checking someone else's oil. if neither of you have had any problems according to what knowlegde has been shared between u two. he has stepped out
you need to make him go to the doctor also. he could be reinfecting you and putting your unborn child and you at risk......
Hmmmmmmmmmmm sounds like you got a choice. live in la la land or look for the truth. I think you have a very good r hunch about this. Set this man down and have a come to Jesus talk. something isn't right here
No, the thing about that disease is that it effects far more people than experience symptoms. Its a logical deduction to make but not an absolute one. So watch out for him.
the genital herpes could have laid dormant and you could have had it and just gotten the outbreak.

you had to be exposed to trich to get it though and it is sexually transmitted.

Generally speaking, you will experience your first outbreak soon after infection. Usually about 2-3 weeks after. Although it is possible that either of you had prior asymptomatic and therefore undiagnosed infection from previous relationship, recent infidelity is the much more likely scenario. Now I wont play sherlock here and decuce that he's being unfaithful based on your recent outbreak alone, but it certainly points in that direction-- Especially if he has other signs of infidelity. Herpes aside, you will simply have to confront him about possible unfaithfulness if you otherwise suspect it. Dishonesty is a far more painful condition in a relationship than a herpes infection and I hope you find the resolution you desire.
