Does anyone have genital herpes? during an outbreak do your symptoms go away and come bac w/in 1week? how long |
does an initial outbreak last and recurrences? Sometimes. Usually about one week. Get your doc to give you some valtrex. Get used to it when you first encountered this desease it comes and goes sometimes lasts for months at a time. Usually from the begining of the simptoms until the end it lasts aproximately 2 weeks but it doesn't take much to agravate it and bring on another outbreak. Sress is a big part your diet alcohol and drugs will cause outbreaks more often. Now days i may have an outbreak mayby once a year but i've had it for 22 years. Sometimes the emotional part of the desease was the worst part to deal with. i guess it's all about acepting it. my first outbreak lasted about three weeks, and that was with valtrex, the first is the worst, my second which came a year later, lasted only a week. it's tough, and no one asks for it. talk to your doctor. That really depends on your immune system and body chemistry. I am sure that it can go away and come back and that you can have alot of overlapping outbreaks. Your body usually takes around 7 years to build up resistance to it (which is why so many babyboomers are catching it- they think that since they're not having outbreaks that they can't spread it). After I found out that I had it, I got on the daily dose of Valtrex which completely prevented me from having any more outbreaks. |
