Does anyone know how genital herpes is spread other than any form of sex, I know i didn't cheat .?

Herpes is very contagious. You did not mention if you have type 1 or 2 and how you found out. 90% of the population has some form of herpes, and the vast majority do not know it. Many people assume they are dealing with jock itch, a yeast infection or ingrown hair. Even more never notice anything at all. People foolishly think that if they have never had a symptom they don't have the virus. (the person who told you to die with it probably already has it!) If your partner had it, he may have not known and spread it to you. If he/she had oral herpes it could have been spread during oral sex even if they never had an outbreak.

You cannot get it from a towel or a toilet seat. You get it from skin to skin contact whether it is a peck on the lips from your great grandma, sharing a pop with a friend, or any sexual activity. During times of stress or injury it is more likely to surface with symptoms. It is possible you have not had an outbreak for many years then suddenly one shows up.

Um.... I believe herpes can lay dormant for up to 7 years. You might want to go on the center for disease control website or planned parenthood or something for the exact statistic. But I do believe you can have it for up to 7 years without ever having an outbreak or anything.

So you may not have cheated, it may have been there from a while ago. Also, maybe the other party in the relationship cheated or had it laying dormant.

If you didn't DUH! then he did......It can lie dormant but 90% of the caes. He has had sex and infected you with the gift that keeps on giving. It is for life, no cure...do not forget to thank him.....properly.......for the lifetime of pain discomfort and unpleasantness.....oh! and do not have sex with anyone else..let it die with you....
