My twin sister has genital herpes and I need some advice for her? |
My twin sister contracted genital herpes when she was 18 (through no fault of her own,but to a horrible boyfriend at the time who decided to have a one-night stand!), she is 36 now and gets very depressed and upset every month as it flares up on her menstrual cycle. Her symptoms are very painful and she has tried all the creams and tablets the UK has to offer and im getting very concerned for her. I know there is no cure, but why not? are we any closer to a cure and what causes the flare ups? surely by now, years on these should be minimal not every month? can anyone help with any advice or if there is a treatment that she hasn't tried? Herpes is a miserable illness to suffer from and as a qualified Herbalist I will try to help. Herpes is caused by a virus that lies dormant in the base of the spinal column. During periods of flare up, the virus travels along the nerves until it reaches a break out point. I recommend a Tisane (tea) made with a combination of Chinese Green Tea, Echinacea and Catnip. Take a tsp of each herb and place them in a teapot and pour on boiling water. Let it brew for 5-10 mins. Sweeten with a little honey and take 2-3 cups per day. For topical relief, I recommend pure Aloe Vera Gel applied liberally to the affected areas 2-3 times a day. Hope this helps. Marcus. Source(s): Herbal Medicine Diploma (Distinction) she can go to her female doctor or a gynceologist and then tell them she wants the doctor to remove them by laser surgery, it is uncomfortablly but it works. I wish I could help you. I had a friend witht he same problem. She did a drug study in the US about three or four years ago, and hasn't had a flare up or a cold sore since. Since it was study she has no idea what the name of the drug was, but I suffer from cold sores and would love not to. She has tried to find out if the drug was ever approved, but so far no knowledge. im sorry fror her but that's why this country spends pounds and pounds trying to educate people about the dangers of unprotected sex, and she decided to have unprotected sex, Painful. When she feels it flaring up tell her to try ZORIVAX cream as early as possible. Tell her NOT to rub especially after going to the loo, it is best to wash and dap dry and then use the cream. Also she should also make sure the man uses a condom so as not to give it to others. you haven't got a sister have you, its you your talking about, don't be shy or embarrassed. its not your fault you have genital herpes. go to the Dr. |
