How do you treat genital herpes?

How do you treat genital herpes?

You can treat the outbreaks, but you will always have it. Generally, the initial outbreak is worse than any others, if you have any other outbreaks at all (some don't). I have treated the virus with 3g daily of L-Lysine (1000mg 3X a day), an amino acid available in vitamin sections and health food stores, and about 4g daily of vitamin C (1000 mg every 4 hours). (If your system cannot handle that much Vitamin C, you will get diarrhea and just reduce the dosage.) You can treat the blisters with Abreva (drug store) or a topical L-Lysine. Do not eat nuts during the outbreak (they contain Arginine which counteracts the Lysine) and try to keep your stress level as low as possible, and your immune system as high as possible. Outbreaks generally last about 10 days. Whatever you put on the lesions, dab it, don't spread it. Keep the area very clean. I have seen this method successfully treat the outbreak stage faster than when medication was used, you have to treat is ASAP though. Get better soon!
