How do you differentiate genital herpes from an ordinary pimple wif puss on the penis? |
what are the symptoms & differences between genital herpes & a pimple on the organ? Genital herpes lesions will usually appear in numbers. In men the lesions may look like ulcers (open sores). Typically the lesions begin as blisters that erupt, become ulcers and often heal in 5 to 7 days. The lesions are painful and there may be swelling in the lymph nodes at the groin. There may be some drainage from the erupted blisters. You may even run a low-grade fever. A pimple will appear to be just that. You haven't said how long you've had this but if it doesn't go away in about 2 weeks from the first day you noticed it or if it worsens or spreads, check with your doctor for further evaluation. In the meantime, keep your penis clean (in every sense of the word) and abstain from sex until this is resolved or until you get a doctor's diagnosis. Source(s): I'm a nurse. The best way is to get it tested in the lab. Herpes will probably be a lot more painful, and can be accompanied by a slight fever. It usually shows up as a blister though, and not really pus filled. http://www.westoverheights.com/... http://www.westoverheights.com/... use the internet and look up symptoms for herpes. maybe you just have a small strain of HPV (which is a disease that no one can tell they have) that can be cured if not treated then it can possibly lead to herpes or cancer. The best thing to do is go and get checked out. Go to the doctor and ask |
