If you already have genital herpes can you get an outbreak in a new spot after having sexual contact w/partner |
Both partner and I have genital herpes, he was having an outbreak and we had anal sex, wondering if I could get an outbreak in a new spot since his soar was open? When I do get outbreaks they are always in the same spot, curious if I can get a new soar in a new spot, don't think I can since I already have the disease myself. Please do not reply if you have no knowledge of this subject. Thank You. You can absolutely get them in a new spot! Genital herpes affects the whole genital area. You can get sores anywhere in the genital area and anal area. They don't necessarily have to be in the same spot every single time. Also, it's NEVER a good idea to have sex if either you or your partner is currently having an outbreak. Doing this can cause the other person to have an outbreak. It's best to just wait until the sores have healed to have sex again. Source(s): Personal experience. I have had genital herpes for over 5 years. DISGUSTING. Yes, you will get in there. Haven't you ever heard of a condom? Or better yet, NOT having sex during an outbreak? CRIPES! yes, you can get a new infection in an area where there previously were no herpes, in your case, the anal region of course there's only so many places herpes infects... once all those are filled up, you kind of don't ahve to worry about that anymore it's generally a really, really bad idea to have sex while you have open sores, as the transmission rate is somewhere on the order of 5 to 10 times more likely Yes you can. It is normal. YES u can It can occur in new spot When your immune system is depressed u can get it in a new spot Also herpes has two types 1 and 2 Now a days both serotypes can cause genital lesions harboring one serotype will not completely protect u from other although some amount of protection may be present Prior HSV-1 infection appears not to reduce the frequency of acquisition of HSV-2, as measured by seroconversion. However, persons with prior HSV-1 infection who acquire HSV-2 appear to have a higher frequency of subclinical acquisition. These data suggest that type-specific immune responses are central to the control of HSV infection........................ Yes. http://www.doctorgoodskin.com/ds/herpess... |
