Can a woman who has genital herpes transmit the disease through oral sex or kissing if she is outbreak free? |
If a woman is currently outbreak free, can she transmit genital herpes by oral sex or by kissing someone? What if she is having an outbreak when she does the above? Does it make any difference? And how likely is it for a man who is using a condom to get herpes from an infected woman if she is not having an outbreak? It is almost impossible to get genital herpes from someone just from kissing. If you are using a condom, I would say that it's very unlikely for you to get it if she isn't having an outbreak. Keep in mind that it doesn't have anything to do with bodily fluids...if you know what I mean. It's about the lesions. Check it all out first...it's a good idea anyway right? These days, you're taking a big risk when you don't. Sores on your mouth (another kind of Herpes) if transmitted to someones genitals, can give them genital herpes...the same way millions of people spread herpes of the mouth by kissing everyday. It's everywhere. A mother can give give her child herpes by kissing him...not genital herpes, just herpes. A huge percent of people have it and have no idea...they may not ever know. I would say just be careful. Yup, she can. if a gurl has the herpes virus and she gives oral, the recevier will get it 90% of the time. Especially b/c sumtymes gurls shave and hav small cuts ther and its an open entry :) |
