My friend says you can catch genital herpes over the telephone. Is this correct? How old is your friend anyway? No you can't catch genital herpes over the telephone. Seriously? It is a virus that is only contracted by contact. NO your friend is an idiot Are you joking, dude? Look up "genital herpes" on Google and find out for yourself. Sadly yes. you will get a type of herpes around the mouth. any physical contact with that area will get you infected. I knew somebody who got it around the mouth area. If the herpes virus gets on the phone and you use it. It will go on your mouth and reproduce asexually. Divide. It is true. My health teachers said so. Its called Type 2. You totally can. Okay maybe not. All I know is that my health teacher said you could. Everyone keeps saying no. Plus the guy that compared it to AIDS. Both viruses behave differently. Aids is not transferred by direct contact. But Herpes is. To your question you can't catch genital herpes. But you can catch oral herpes.
