What the best way to stop genital herpes?

Unfortunately there is no way you can stop herpes or get rid of it.

There are a few medications that can suppress herpes though. They can be taken daily or just when you are having an outbreak or "feel" an outbreak coming on.

Some oral medications:
Acyclovir (Zovirax)
famciclovir (Famvir)
and valacyclovir (Valtrex)

There is even a acyclovir (Zovirax) ointment, but it's not usually recommended. Source(s): I'm a pharmacy technician and I have genital herpes.

it can not be stopped there is no cure for herpes they only have treatments to reduce your outbreaks and creams to help with the sores must see a doctor
