I just found out I have Genital Herpes....? |
Back in December I found out I had genital Herpes...Me and my boyfriend have had unprotected sex for the past 5 yrs. and we have 2 lil girls together. I'm not sure if he has GH, but the Dr. said most likely he does because we don't use protection. The problem I have now is that we sometimes have oral and anal sex can I get a different kind of herpes? Is that not safe? You have probably already tranferred the virus to your mouth and your anal area. YOU MUST USE A CONDOM when doing these things. I am not sure what part of safe sex you don't understand but you have an STD that is contagious so you must use a condom. If you doc does not know that you have had oral and anal sex without a condom then tell him so he can check you out thoroughly. Also get your boyfriend to go in and get checked out too. From now on you need to use a condom. You already have HSV II in the genital region, I can't see anal sex increasing the risk. It's possible to get HSV II in the oral region, but I suspect you've already developed antibodies which will keep your outbreaks localized to the same general areas you already get them. More accurately to you question, you already have HSV II, so you won't get any other type because of monogamous behavior you both engage in. It would require a different virus to be introduced between you two - the type of sex you have doesn't create a new virus. just wear a condom during anal and be sure to use lots of lube. i wouldnt have oral because then you will breakout with fever blisters which your children can catch. clinical study veteran I think the thing I would be worried about since you already have it, is where did you get it. If you have been with your boyfriend for 5 years, it's not likely that he didn't know he had it. I would be very upset that he never told you and continued to have unprotected sex with you. He sounds charming |
