How to continue with my life leaving with genital herpes?

feeling down & killing myself ! sex seems like meaningless in life anymore !

My male friend is sitting right next to me, I had him look at your question after seeing that you wanted to kill yourself. These are his words (I am a girl, so I asked him for his male perspective)...."I've had herpes for fourteen years. I felt the same way you did except I didn't want to kill myself over it. I decided that I needed to be honest with anybody I had sex with. I was very surprised at how many people weren't bothered by it, but were happy with them that I was honest with them so they could make the decision for themselves (regarding having sex with me). Also you be surprised at how many people have herpes these days, and how many WON'T tell you that they have it too (sometimes they admit to it after you tell them first). It could be worse, at least it's not deadly. You will find meaning in a woman who really cares and loves you for you. K, these are my words now, his sister has herpes too, and she is married and he doesn't have it. She just doesn't have sex with him when she has an outbreak. Seek help there are groups. There are worse things you could have.

You'll be fine in like 3-6 months. Everyone goes through it and then life gets better and back to normal again.
A councellor can help, and make sure you do lots of research to understand it. It's not a big deal, and you'll realize that in the end.

I know its cliche to say "youll be fine"...but it's true :)
