Is there a one time pill/treatment to cure genital herpes ????

Is there a one time pill/treatment to cure genital herpes ????

No. In fact, there is NO cure for genital herpes. It is a virus and viruses can NOT be cured.

There is medication to help control the outbreaks and the severity of the outbreaks, but it is NOT a cure. The medication can be taken everyday or just when the person is having an outbreak.

Usually the longer the person has had the virus typically the less outbreaks they get too. I have personally had the virus for over 6 years now and my last outbreak was over 2 years ago! Source(s): Personal experience. I have had genital herpes for over 6 years.
there is no 'CURE" for herpes. Valtrex is suppress them

There is no treatment that can cure herpes, but antiviral medications can shorten and prevent outbreaks during the period of time the person takes the medication. In addition, daily suppressive therapy for symptomatic herpes can reduce transmission to partners.
