If you have had shingles, are you more likely to have genital herpes? |
If you have had shingles, are you more likely to have genital herpes? Shingles is caused by the reactivation of the virus (varicella-zoster virus) that causes chickenpox. After you recover from chickenpox, the virus lies dormant (inactive) in your nerve roots. In some people, it stays dormant for the rest of their lives. In others, the virus reactivates when disease, stress, or aging weakens the immune system.1 The cause of reactivation of the virus is unclear; however, once it does reactivate, it causes shingles, not another case of chickenpox. Most people who get shingles will not get the disease again, although it does come back in a few people. No,They are both herpes viruses, but they are different diseases. No...Who told you that? no they are both viruses but 2 completely different types. I don't know: but for SURE you need a proper medical diagnosis, as a handling would be necessary! I believe Shingles are VERY painful and so I would advise you to get something done, quick! Shingles are an adult case of Chicken Pox and can be very painful. They have nothing to do with Genital Herpes. if you do not change your fucked up lifestyle then probally |
