Anyone can contract genital herpes. It doesn't affect a particular group of people more than another group.

Abstinence is the only thing that is 100% effective. Using condoms and safe sex practices HELPS, but is not 100% effective. Things can happen, such as a condom breaking. Even people who use condoms and practice safe sex can still contract the virus. Genital herpes is an STD that can be spread by DIRECT skin to skin contact. So, even if the guy is wearing a condom, it is only covering his penis and not the whole genital area. people have many different views on genital herpies some say it can be helped others say it cant but for example if you meet someone your not going to check if they have a cold sore r u i think the answer to your question is yes and no some people r prone to cold sores others dont get them at all but if you are daft and dont protect yourself then yes you will end up with them people who are not self aware are more likely to get them

I don't think any one person or group of people has a higher chance of contracting herpes. It is not genetic, it is sexually transmitted. Your chance of getting herpes would only depend on taking responsibility for your own sexuality: 1. Do you know the sexual history of your partner(s)? 2. Do you use protection (both condoms and dental dams)
