Is there anyone out there that I can talk to about Genital Herpes virus ? |
I was recentley diagnosed with genital herpes, I'am afraid, upset, I have so many questions. Can someone help me? There are several websites with some great info on them and people you can talk to who also have the virus. I was personally diagnosed with genital herpes 6 years ago. Hi there, I am surprised you didn't get more people respond...I don't have them but I am somewhat educated on it..First off I know you are scared you have a right to be..but please know This isn't deadly and there are medicines that you can use to treat outbreaks with ..So take a deep breath and control yourself ..look up Genital Herpies ..many sites have many things you can read on about them and other that have them ..Don't let herpies run your life ..take control !! If you need a friend I am here ...:) me There are three keys to dealing with having herpes: 1) Education - learning as much as you can about herpes so you understand it; 2) Support - being able to talk to others about your feelings and fears; 3) Management - learning how to reduce outbreak recurrences and transmission. There are lots of info and support sites on the net, if you do a search for herpes and you will get a ton of references! I have listed a couple below which I personally recommend. If you want one2one peer support - talk / email / chat - with someone who has herpes there are also several sites which provide that service too. Having herpes isn't the end of the world - and you don't have to deal with it alone.
