Is it safe to apply Gold Bond anti-itch cream to the affected area during a genital herpes outbreak? Yes, I don't see why it would matter! I think that it would probably work for the itch! Whatever works for you! What helps too is, um, lubricant, like KY. it doesn't have any medication, but it makes it smoother and less likely to catch on clothing. And it is a cheap and effective way to deal with the problem. I dunno about Gold Bond, it may burn. lilrose said KY. I wouldn't do that. You want to keep it dry for it to heal...keeping it wet will just make it last longer. It's really hard to say...I wouldn't. It is an open wound after all, it will probably sting like crazy. Ya, don't. Ouch. |
