Are there varying degrees of the herpes genital virus?


I contracted genital herpes 5 years ago - but have never had another outbreak since the original. It is confusing to never have symptoms of the virus. I am assuming that I am just as contagious and can spread the virus when engaging in oral sex or unprotected sex as anyone who has the virus......

Check with your doctor on this matter. I think that as long as you don't exhibit outer symptoms, it is safe to have sex. This is only an opinion from a layman's viewpoint.
