Glaucoma: My father has this condition. Do you know of anyone....? |
Who Has recieved succesful treatment that has improved or maintained their eyesight? I have suffered from open angle glaucoma for 20 years since i was 29. At first i had trabeculectomys done with drops but neither worked . Two weeks ago i had laser sugery done on my left eye in conjunction with Travatan eye drops . I will find out in Jan whether this has worked.Although i suffer from tunnel vision i still manage day to day things.There is nothing to improve your vision after its gone but you can maintain what you have if you do as asked by the doctors. Give your father my best wishes. My aunt has this disease, she has just had an op two weeks ago. she has had several ops and they have worked in a fashion, she can still see, but the vision isn't what it used to be. |
