Eyes glaucoma?

does any one know how to treat / cure / reverse glaucoma by natural herbs, grand maa cure.please reply in details.thanks in advance

You can't revers glaucoma once it's compromised your vision. You can, however, control it and stop it from getting worse. There are medications such as eye drops that can be used, and there are also medical procedures when medication doesn't work. One is to surgically clear the canal (for lack of a better word) that drains fluids from your eye to reduce pressure. The other is to implant a shunt in your eye to do that job. A shunt (tiny tube) is usually only used in serious cases when other methods haven't worked.

As for natural herbs, medicinal marajuana is said to be a viable way of treating minor cases of glaucoma.

tetrahydrocannabinol works wonders, but is illegal in 50 states, DC, and Puerto rico.

Why not just use the prescription meds? A drop or two a day usually does the trick. Seems easier to me.

Most glaucoma is easily and effectively treated with simple prescription eye drops that have very few side effects.

Untreated glaucoma can result in blindness; please do not gamble your sight on unproven folk remedies.

BTW, the first poster is correct that marijauna can decrease eye pressure. However, it is not as effective as eye drops and has many more side effects.

See the links below for more information about glaucoma, including information about marijauna and other alternative therapies.

As of now, there is no cure for glaucoma and there is no way to reverse it. My ophthalmologist, however, remains hopeful. It can be treated, and I think it might be wise to follow the traditional med route and use drops. I've heard that marijuana is an alternative to traditional medicine, but I'm not convinced.

I have glaucoma, and have had it for about 15 years. I must use my drops 4 times a day. My glaucoma is under control. Other options include traditional surgery or laser therapy. These are not cures, but they help alleviate the pressure on the optic nerve. I see my ophthalmologist 2 to 3 times a year, and he and I have great discussions about glaucoma (among other things). I want to learn all I can, and he very willingly instructs.
