Do you think I have glaucoma?

I am 19 years old. I am diabetic. I see lots of floaters lately. When I wear contact lens everything is double, but when I wear glasses everythign is perfect. I went to eye doctor who said it was nothing, and my eyes were fine, but why cant i wear contacts anymore and why do i see so many floaters?

I have no idea. That's because nothing you have mentioned in your question has any relationship to whether you do or don't have glaucoma. So you may or you may not. But floaters and double vision are totally unrelated to signs or symptoms of glaucoma.

Glaucoma is when you have high pressure within the eye. If your eye doctor performed this test, they pop into your eyes with a smal tube, for just a fraction of a second. If the result is OK, then you don't have Glaucoma. Did they do this test? Your contacts may have a scale buildup.

Your symtpoms are definitely not related to glaucoma or your diabetes. The floaters occur with most people as we age and most people learn to ignore them. The contact lenses may have been causing corneal swelling which gave you double vision or shadowing--especially if you overwear them. Try giving your eyes a break from contacts for a few weeks, then wear them on a limited basis and see if your problems resolve. Good luck.

Our eyes are filled with something the consistency of Jello.
When it breaks loose from the back of your eye it causes floaters and light flashes.

Did you see an OPHTHALMOLOGIST? Not an Optician.

You need to have a serious eye exam by an Ophthalmologist.
Glaucoma is serious build up of pressure inside of the eye ball and causes BLINDNESS. My Dad was blinded by it.
If the pressure inside of you eye has increased the lenses may be to much pressure on them.

If you are near sighted your retinas are thinner that farsighted people and you can develop retinal tearing.

Be sure to take care of this.
